Who We Are

We are the hands and feet of Christ touching the lives of people who may have lost hope. We are not all from one church, we are all part of the body of Jesus Christ coming from all corners of Sonoma county to serve. "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Matthew 25:35-36

A Wonderful Christmas Dinner

Wow! We had a wonderful Christmas Dinner today at Northbay Christian Faith Center. We served about 110 homeless and had over 50 people help pull it all together.
We served 16 tri-tip roasts, 2 full size trays of green bean casserole, 4 full size trays of mashed potatoes and over 12 dozen rolls.
We were blessed by a group of Christmas Carolers who came and sang Christmas songs for about 30 minutes. There were about 20 people, including young children and teenager who blessed us all with some beautiful music.
Sonshine Loomis and a group of musicians played Christmas songs. Brian Bennett delivered a salvation message. He ended with offering prayer for people. I saw at least 5 people get up and received prayer. There were also many other people who were prayed for during the day.
We were able to hand out 50 tarps that were purchased this summer, thank you to everyone who helped purchase those. We also had clothes, jackets and blankets.
Thank you to everyone who helped. This ministry exists because of everyone whether you stand in the gap and pray for the outreach, donate or serve. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus to people who have lost hope.
Ultimately, God was glorified today.
I just wanted to thank everyone for donating the needed items. We are totally filled, including the pies and rolls. Praise the Lord, he provides!
We are excited about todays dinner and the one on Christmas Eve.
We were able to whip out the prep work yesterday in no time at all. We had 8 people peeling 70 pounds of potatoes and they got it done in less than an hour. I stayed and finished up the mashing and was all done including the kitchen being cleaned by 1:20.
Thank again for the being the hands and feet of Jesus. We can't do this ministry without you and I don't have enough words to express how grateful I am to everyone.
Please pray for our events for the next few days. We are excited to see what God does.

2 Christmas Dinners!

Updated December 14th.
Almost there!
We will be doing 2 Christmas Dinners this Christmas.
The first dinner will be on December 20th at Northbay Christian Faith Center
The second will be December 24th at Samuel L. Jones Homeless Shelter.
We are looking at feeding 300 total. Our menu will be the same at both dinners. We will be doing tri-tip, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls and pie.
At the Northbay Christian Faith Center Brian Bennett will be giving the salvation message.
We are excited about Samuel L. Jones allowing us to prepare a meal for the residents at their shelter. We will not be able to give a gospel message at the shelter but we will be singing Christmas Songs, giving each resident a Christmas card, and the gospel can be shared one-on-one.
Sonshine Loomis will be in charge of the Christmas music at both events, if you are interested in singing or playing your instrument with her please email me and let me know, I will give her your email so she can contact you.
Hope Chapel is donating 100 Christmas cards but we are anticipating about 120 people. So we need at least another 20 Christmas cards.
We will also need people to help to serve and help prep at both events. We can gain access to Northbay Faith Center at 12:30 on the 20th. We will be doing the prep for the potatoes and green bean casserole on the 19th. We could use people to help on that day peeling potatoes. We have a small apartment, so if someone has a bigger kitchen that we could use on Saturday that would help us a lot. Or if you would like to make a tray of food at your house, we can give you the ingredients and recipes.
At Samuel L. Jones Shelter, we are hoping to be able to get into their kitchen by 10am. We will do all prep work there on the 24th. So we will need people to help prep on Christmas Eve day.
As you can see there are many opportunities to help with these 2 dinners. You can help at one or both.

Here is a list of our needs. I have also included sizes and prices. The prices come from Cash and Carry (no membership needed to shop). If you do not want to do the shopping you can donate cash to Hope for the Homeless through Hope Chapel or Giving Tree.

Sunday's outreach

Dear Friends and Family
We had 5 teams plus ourselves hand out 67 meals today. We had 67 people not only receive food but God's love. We don't just hand a meal out, we talk with them, listen to them and pray with them. We served bean, meat and cheese burritos with spanish rice. The teams that went out were Brian, Marc and Gina, The Gandy Family, Terry and Bear Gomke, The Bragg Family, and Frank Blondina. Each team took 10 meals (some teams took 1 additional meal that was vegetarian).
Thank you Lord for a wonderful day and for the people we were able to touch.

Keep an eye for another email in the week or so. We are planning our Thanksgiving Dinner. It will be on Sunday, Nov 29th at 3pm. Northbay Christian Faith Center is letting us use their building again this year. We will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings.

Thank you to everyone who donated food items and helped hand out meals. This ministry exists because of you being the hand and feet of Jesus.
All praise, honor and Glory to God!
